Man Conveyor
Purpose of the conveyors
The man conveyors will transport members of an assembly team at the same pace as the main line conveyor. Speed variation will be an automatic feature, this will be carried out automatically by sensing the main floor conveyor speed and adjusting the man conveyor speed accordingly. The conveyor will be capable of moving varying numbers of an assembly team in normal production conditions with allowance's for periodic additional line support personnel during training etc.
Conveyor Design
The conveyor's are designed with an inboard motor reduction box, drive roller with a side positioned 'V' section guides, an idle roller with a similar side 'V' section guides, pressed steel side plates, pressed steel tie plates, stainless steel belt support plates with formed 'V' section side guide belt support, idle rollers on the belt return.
Conveyor's are manufactured in formed sections to allow for ease of transport and movability within the factory to the installation site. The side plate's will be of a pressed steel construction and bolted together to obtain the required length. At each end of the conveyor are the supports for the motor and idle roller. Across the width of the conveyor and below the belt guide are support panels, to tie the sides together and give supports to the belt support plates. The returning belt is supported by rollers, tensioning will be by the back roller unit.
The conveyor drive will be via an in board mounted reduction gear motor transmitting drive through belts and/or pulley's.
The Man Conveyor transportation belt will be supplied by a reputable belt manufacturer and will be a Belting material selected for the specific requirement.
Debris Collection
Where possible a collection tray will be incorporated within the conveyor housing to ease collection and removal of dirt and waste materials.
TripPlate
At the end of each conveyor (drive roller location ) a sliding 'Trip' plate will be incorporated this will act as a pinch detection.
Control cabinet and controls
The control cabinet will be designed to meet the end user specification s along with European Health & Safety Laws.
